Tip Tuesday #34: We’re Showing You the Money
Tip of the Week: Check that your credit card processing company is giving you the best possible deal in order to save money!
Use this list to quickly check that you’re not being taken advantage of:
- Check your providers website to see if they publish their pricing model and rates. A lack of transparency is your first red flag!
- Check your statement. If there’s only one line item for Mastercard, VIsa, Discover, and Amex, you’re on a very deceptive pricing model.
- Does your provider refund you the fees on refunds? Many providers double dip. Check to see if there are credits instead of debits in returns. Members Only Processing refunds bank fees on refunds.
- Take credit card info over the phone? Make sure your gateway is prompting you to put in all the correct information to qualify for the lowest possible rate!
- If your statement is less than three pages, there’s a problem.
