Nextech: How it Works

Create TouchMD accounts using Nextech Select or Practice+ APIs 

When patient accounts are created, edited, or scheduled for an appointment in Nextech they will be also be added to TouchMD (first name, last name, and DOB are required; a patient email address is highly encouraged). This process may take up to 5 minutes before TouchMD receives the patient’s information from Nextech and the patient account is created TouchMD.

Note

Only basic patient demographics will be used by TouchMD to create a patient account.  This includes name, date of birth, email, phone number, and gender.

Send pictures and consents from TouchMD to Nextech Select or Practice+

Pictures & consents can transfer from TouchMD to Nextech (optional setting):

  • Patient pictures* saved in the TouchMD system can be added to Nextech automatically.
  • Patient consents or document saved in the TouchMD system can be added to Nextech automatically.
Where will my images and consents be added?

  • For Nextech Select: Images will be added to the “Photos” and “Miscellaneous” tabs.  Consents/Documents will be added to the “Misc” tab.
  • *For Nextech Practice+: Consents/Documents will be added to the “Documents” section. Photos do not transfer.

Initial TouchMD patient account creation

As a part of the Nextech integration setup process a TouchMD patient account will be created for any patients that have been added, modified, or scheduled in Nextech for all time.  The Nextech patient record must contain a full name and date of birth to be created in TouchMD during this process.

Nextech: Steps to Integrate

Select and Practice+ API

  1. Your Client Success Advisor or support team member will create an integration support ticket for you.
  2. The Nextech API team will process your request to setup the TouchMD API access.  When this is complete, they will notify your Client Success Advisor or support team member.
  3. Upon activation, all of patient data from Nextech will be used to initially create patient accounts in TouchMD.  Please note: patients accounts that are not created during this initial process will be added to TouchMD when a patient is added or edited (in the case the patient is missing either a first name, last name, or a date of birth) in Nextech.
  4. Your Client Success Advisor or support team member will reach out to confirm the completion of this integration request.

Nextech will start working on your request within 24 – 48 business hours. On average, Nextech API integration setups take up to 1 week to complete.

Nextech : What does it cost?

There is no fee associated with this integration.
