Inform and Enhance: How it Works

Create TouchMD accounts using Inform and Enhance

When patient accounts are created or scheduled for an appointment in Inform and Enhance they must be manually pushed to TouchMD* (first name, last name, and DOB are required; a patient email address is highly encouraged). Note: that only basic patient demographics will be sent to TouchMD to create an account.
*How do I manually push patient accounts to TouchMD?
To manually push a patient account to TouchMD, do the following:
1) Access the patient account via Inform and Enhance
2) Select “Send HL7”
3) Select “TouchMD”

Send pictures and consents from TouchMD to Inform and Enhance

Currently not offered by Inform and Enhance.
TouchMD offers a solution for practices who would like to manually move patient pictures and consents from TouchMD to their EMR/EHR/PM. This is called Local Backup. More information may be found here.

Inform and Enhance: Steps to Integrate

Pay the TouchMD Integration Setup Fee.
Contact your Inform and Enhance representative and indicate that your practice would like to integrate with TouchMD.
Contact your TouchMD Client Success Advisor or support@touchmd.com and supply your IT’s and your Inform and Enhance reps’ contact information and confirm that you have contacted Inform and Enhance.
A TouchMD Integration Specialist will work behind the scenes to setup the integration between Inform and Enhance and TouchMD.
A TouchMD representative or a TouchMD Integration Specialist will reach out to confirm the completion of this integration.

Inform and Enhance: How long will it take to integrate?

TouchMD will start working on your request within 24 – 48 business hours. However, setup and completion of an integration requires coordination and scheduling with the Inform and Enhance technical team. On average, Inform and Enhance integrations take 2 – 5 days to complete.

Inform and Enhance: What does it cost?

There is a one-time fee to setup an integration with Inform and Enhance. An additional fee will be added to all subsequent TouchMD Monthly Maintenance invoices to maintain the Inform and Enhance interface. The setup fee is to cover the time and resources spent by our IT and Integration teams to configure the integration between TouchMD and your EMR/EHR/PM system. The monthly fee is to maintain the connection between TouchMD and your EMR/EHR/PM system. With the integration, our system stores specific encrypted information on our server for each patient account to correctly link the patient between TouchMD and EMR/EHR/PM system. Storage of this information comes at a cost from our server host and the monthly fee covers those costs.
