Importing Patient Files From 3rd Party Apps to Patient Accounts

Import photos and PDFs to patient accounts via Consult from other applications using the new share extension.

Sharing Capabilities

The third-party application MUST be able to share for this feature to function. TouchMD does not control this ability of other apps.

iPAD FEATURE ONLY!

This feature is ONLY available on an Apple iPad.

  1. Open the TouchMD Consult app on an iPad FIRST
  2. Select Patient Badge
  3. Select your name from the staff login list
  4. Enter your password or PIN
  5. Search for a patient and select the patient’s name
  6. Second, open the third-party app on the same iPad and locate the desire file(s) (image(s)/PDF(s))
  7. Select the Share icon on the third-party app
  8. Select the “Consult” app on the share sheet
  9. Verify the selected files and tap “Import”
  10. Open the Consult app to complete the file upload process. Images will be available in the Gallery tab while PDFs will be available in the Documents tab

What If the Consult App is Not Opened First?

If a patient has not been accessed via the Consult app, the following alert will appear
