How can I use Consents in TouchMD?

Consents must first be active in your TouchMD system before they may be assigned & signed by a patient. Use this link to learn how to review/edit/publish consents.

This article discusses how to print a copy of a consent that has not been completed by a patient. This may be to provide a printed copy for a patient to sign because this is their preference or for a copy of your consent to be used at a time TouchMD is unavailable (internet down).

  1. Begin by accessing a patient account via the Consult app (If printing for a backup consent, be sure to select a test patient account. Register a test patient account if needed) (If printing for an actual patient to fill out a paper copy, access their patient account)
  2. Select the Patient Tab
  3. Tap “Consents”
  4. Select “+ Assign Consents”
  5. Select the desired consent(s) and tap “Done”
  6. Tap the consent
  7. Once opened, skip all fields, and select “Decline”
  8. Open the consent and tap “Print”
Printing via the TouchMD Dashboard

If you need to print via the TouchMD Dashboard, see the following instructions:

  1. Log onto the TouchMD Dashboard
  2. Select “Patients”
  3. Search for the desired patient
  4. Hover over the patient’s name and select “Consents”
  5. Locate the declined consent(s) and tap “View PDF”
  6. Once the PDF has been downloaded, select it to open it
