TouchMD System Requirements

Windows Devices

Operating System

Windows 10 or higher is required (Home or Professional Edition). Consult your IT professional familiar with your current network setup if you have any further questions.

  • Multi-Core Processor (Intel Core i5 or higher recommended)
  • 8 GB RAM or better (System Memory)
  • 512 MB or better graphics card
  • 128 GB Hard Drive or larger Recommended (TouchMD can use between 2 – 20 GB of hard drive space. Actual disk usage will vary, but is related to the amount of content that is enabled within the TouchMD software).
  • Full HD Touch Screen (Multi-Touch, 1920×1080 Native Resolution or better)

iOS Devices

To ensure the highest level of app compatibility, use an iPad or iPhone model capable of running the latest iOS update.  We recommend the iPad Pro 12.9″ model for the best viewing experience using the Consult app, however this model is not required.

Web Browsers

For the best experience using the TouchMD Dashboard (Staff portal), we recommend using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.

High Speed Internet Access

System(s) must connect to a broadband internet connection either using an in office wireless router or a CAT5 or better cable with a wall port installed near where the system(s) will reside.

Hardware Support

Although TouchMD may facilitate the purchase of hardware, the practice owns all hardware that runs the TouchMD client software on it and as such it is the sole responsibility of the practice to maintain their own hardware, including but not limited to proper network accommodations, software updates as well as resolving any technical issues that may arise. TouchMD is responsible only for issues directly related to the TouchMD software itself.

Other Network Accommodations

Offices that have problems related to reaching their network capacity of connected computers or other network related issues must consult with their IT professionals directly. TouchMD is not responsible for network issues that may arise before or after adding your hardware to your network.
