A Doctor’s Successful Setup of Wired Canon Connect

What Device, iOS, and Snap Version May Be Used?

Wired Canon© Connect with Live View is ONLY available on Apple iPads running iOS 15 or higher and the Snap app running version 2.21.0 or higher.

Wired Canon© Connect without Live View is ONLY available on Apple iPads/iPhones running iOS 15 or higher and the Snap app running version 2.21.6 or higher.

Camera:

Canon EOS Rebel T8i

Wireless Flash Trigger

Attached to the camera is a Godox XProC TTL Wireless Flash Trigger for Canon Cameras that connects to wall-mounted flashes

iPad:

iPad Mini (Device pictured is either 4th or 5th Generation. Link listed is 6th Generation.)

Monopod:

Tablet Mount:

AboveTEK Business Tablet Handlebar

Apple USB Adapter:

USB-C to USB Adapter (For iPad Mini 4th and 5th Generation.)

Apple USB Adapter

For an adapter that also allows for the iPad to charge as well, use this Lightning to USB 3 camera adapter.

Apple iPad Mini 6th Generation

This adapter is not needed for iPad Mini 6th Generation

Cable:

BOOST↑CHARGE™ USB-A to Micro-USB Cable (This cable is for iPad compatible with iPad’s that use Lightening charging cables)

Apple iPad Mini 6th Generation

If using an iPad Mini 6th Generation (iPad Mini that utilizes a USB-C charging cable), use this cable (or something similar).
