Moving & Merging Patient Data

Learn how to move and merge patient data on TouchMD.

Merge Duplicate Patient Accounts:

  1. Go to dashboard.touchmd.com
  2. Select “Patients”
  3. Search for the incorrect patient account (the account you would like removed) and select “Edit” 
  4. Scroll down and select “Begin the Process” under Merge & Move Data
  5. Search & select for the correct patient account (the account you would like to keep)
  6. Tap “Continue”
  7. Select “Merge”
    What happens when two accounts are merged?

    The accounts will merge into a single account. The data stored in the dissolved account will move into the kept account. 

Move Patient Data From One Account to Another Account:

  1. Go to dashboard.touchmd.com
  2. Select “Patients”
  3. Search for the patient account that is housing the data needing to be moved and select “Edit”
  4. Scroll down and select “Begin the Process” under Merge & Move Data
  5. Search for the patient account needing to have the data moved to
  6. Tap “Continue”
  7. Select “Move”
  8. Select the patient data needing to be moved. 
    Moving Data

    You may move all data under a category by selecting “Move all” or select the individual data to move single data pieces

  9. Scroll down and tap “Move Selected”
    What happens to the data moved?

    The data will be moved from the undesired account to the correct account.
